Privacy Policy
How KOM USA collects, uses and protects your information.
KOM Construction LLC, doing business as KOM USA ("KOM," "we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose and protect information when you visit kom-usa.com and any related pages, forms or communications that link to this Privacy Policy (collectively, the "Site"), contact us, request service or a consultation, apply for a job, or otherwise interact with us.
By using the Site or submitting information to us, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.
1. Information we collect
Information you provide directly
When you contact us, request service, ask for an estimate or otherwise communicate with us, we may collect:
- your name;
- phone number;
- email address;
- the service address for the work, and a billing address where different;
- the type of service you are asking about and any details you give us about the property or the problem;
- preferred appointment dates;
- photos, notes or documents you choose to send us; and
- any other information you provide through forms, calls, texts or email.
Job and service information
If you request or receive work from us, we may collect and keep records of the services requested, appointment and scheduling details, service history, invoice and payment status, and customer support and follow-up records.
Account information
If you create an account, you may sign in using Google or Microsoft. We receive the email address and basic profile information those providers share with us. We never receive or store your password for those services. You may also give us a separate contact email address for confirmations.
Payment information
Invoices are issued through Intuit QuickBooks, and card payments are processed by Intuit Payments Inc. Card details are entered with Intuit rather than stored by us. We may receive transaction details such as status, date and amount.
Information collected automatically
When you use the Site, we and our service providers may automatically collect technical and usage information, including IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, referral source, and approximate location derived from IP address.
Job applications
If you apply for a role, your résumé and any details you include are sent to our hiring inbox by email. Résumés are not stored on the Site.
2. How we use information
- to respond to enquiries and communicate with you;
- to schedule, coordinate and carry out requested work;
- to provide customer support and follow-up;
- to issue invoices, process payments and keep transaction records;
- to consider job applications;
- to operate, secure and improve the Site;
- to detect, prevent and investigate fraud, abuse, spam and security incidents; and
- to comply with legal, tax, accounting, insurance and recordkeeping obligations.
3. Cookies, analytics and security tools
We use a small number of third-party tools on the Site, and it is worth being specific about them:
- Cloudflare Web Analytics measures traffic and page performance. It is cookieless and does not track visitors across sites.
- Cloudflare Turnstile protects our forms from automated abuse. It is used to tell people apart from bots and is not used to track you. Cloudflare's Turnstile Privacy Addendum, at cloudflare.com/turnstile-privacy-policy, applies to that processing.
- The Google Places API supplies our public review rating and review count. This runs on our server; your browser does not contact Google for it.
You can usually control cookies through your browser settings. Disabling them may affect some Site functionality.
4. How we share information
Service providers
We share information with providers that help us run our business and this Site, including hosting and network providers, Cloudflare for site security and analytics, Resend for sending transactional email, Google and Microsoft where you choose to sign in with them, Intuit QuickBooks for invoicing, and Intuit Payments Inc. for payment processing. They may use your information only to provide those services to us.
Contractors and vendors
Some work may be carried out or supported by contractors or vendors we engage. We share the customer and job information needed to schedule and complete the work.
Legal and safety
We may disclose information where we believe it necessary to comply with law or legal process, to enforce our Terms of Service or other agreements, to protect the rights, property or safety of KOM, our customers, contractors or others, or to investigate suspected fraud, abuse or security issues.
Business transfers
We may disclose information in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, sale of assets, restructuring or similar transaction.
We do not sell your personal information.
5. Calls, texts and email
If you give us your phone number or email address, you agree that we may contact you about your enquiry, scheduling, appointment reminders, coordination of the work, invoices and payments, and related customer service matters. If we send promotional messages, you may opt out by following the instructions in the message or by contacting us.
6. Data retention
We keep personal information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described here — providing the services you asked for, keeping service, payment and warranty records, resolving disputes, and meeting legal, tax, accounting and insurance obligations. Retention periods vary by the type of information and why it was collected.
7. Data security
We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information from unauthorised access, use, disclosure, alteration or destruction. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Your choices
You may contact us to:
- update or correct your contact information;
- ask questions about our privacy practices;
- opt out of non-essential promotional messages;
- disconnect a sign-in method from your account; or
- ask us to review or delete information associated with your enquiries or transactions, subject to applicable law and reasonable verification.
9. Children's privacy
The Site is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has given us personal information, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.
10. Third-party links
The Site links to other websites, including our own related brands and third-party tools. We are not responsible for the privacy practices, content or security of those sites. Please review their policies before submitting information to them.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Site after an updated policy takes effect constitutes acceptance of the revised version, to the extent permitted by law.
