Both, on every job. It is worth asking any contractor to show you — including us.
Wayne, Oakland and Macomb. Local enough that turning up matters to us.
Where a job can be priced up front, it is — set before we arrive, not after. Where it genuinely depends on what we find, we quote once we have seen the work, because a number given any earlier is a guess.
Maintenance and construction under one roof, so the people who build it are the people you call afterwards.
Contact us and tell us how many doors you need unlocked. If there's an immediate safety issue, such as a child, vulnerable person, fire, or medical emergency inside, call 911 instead of waiting for our locksmith service.
We aim to get you back in without damaging the door or lock. Some locks can't be opened any other way, and where damage is unavoidable we ask for your approval first and give you a quote before we do anything.
Re-keying keeps the existing lock but changes which key operates it. Replacing the lock gives you new hardware and new keys. We do not offer re-keying, but we can replace the lock so the old keys no longer provide access.
We recommend it when you can't account for every existing key. Previous owners, tenants, contractors, or other people may still have copies. Replacing the locks gives you new hardware and control over the new keys.
We offer keypad lock installation, which lets you unlock the door by entering a code. A smart lock adds connected features such as phone control or remote access, which we do not currently offer.
The keypad lock uses batteries, so a household power outage won't stop it from working. If its batteries die, you can unlock it with the physical key provided with the lock. The keypad also gives a low-battery warning so you can replace the batteries before they stop working.
A lock box stores a key securely outside the property so an authorized person can get in without carrying their own copy. They're typically used by homeowners, landlords, property managers, contractors, and rental-property operators.
No, we do not duplicate keys. A hardware store or locksmith may be able to copy your existing key, depending on the type of key and lock.
